I was having a tough time trying to figure on how to convert some heavy duty video files given to me by friend. The videos were super HD ranging from 1gb to 100 gb each file for anywhere between few minutes to 15 minutes. My company tasked me with a massive project, to prepare 53 DVDs we produced for streaming. The original FCP projects had been archived long ago, so re-transcoding/re-linking was a daunting option. What I needed was a way to rip the DVD, marrying the FBI warning, chapters in order, and our Close into one H.264, mp4. That way I could save gobs of time and get these titles ready for launch. Previously I was using Handbrake, which brought in each chapter individually, which I subsequently had to edit together. Again, gobs of time for a simple digitization of a physical product. I went searching for a solution and found Aimersoft Ultimate Video Converter. Saved the day! Best feature is the Merge option, allowing us to order each .VOB correctly and output as a single mp4. Another feature which was invaluable was the ability to view each chapter from the queue and reorder by mouse drag. I am also impressed by the multitude of options for encoding, especially the Custom settings. Thank you Aimersoft, for the thoughful design and powerful features of this software. I have a lot of videos I have shot over the years and saved them on PCs and Macs using a lot of different formats.
