How to convert videos to VR

VR (Virtual Reality) technology is gaining a lot of popularity in the gaming space currently. Aimersoft Video Suite allows you to convert videos to VR-supported formats. Let's see below how to do that.

Part 1. How to convert videos to VR on Windows

Step 1 Launch the VR converter tool.

After installing the software, run the software before clicking the VR Converter tab on the home window. The VR Converter window will pop up immediately.

Step 2 Upload a video to convert.

Click the Browse button next to the Add File field to launch your local folders and files. Now search and choose a video file you want to encode to VR.

Step 3 Choose the VR mode and device.

Next, go to the VR Mode section and choose the visual degree. For example, you can convert 3D videos to 360-degree vertical and horizontal or clockwise and anticlockwise. Also, you can encode normal videos into 360-degree 2D videos.

After that, go to the Convert to section and choose a device-optimized output. In this case, you can convert videos to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or Gear VR.

Step 4 Convert the video to VR.

Last but not least, go to the Save file section and choose the destination folder path for the converted video. Now finish up by clicking Convert to convert the video to a VR-supported format.

Part 2. How to convert videos to VR on Mac

Step 1 Open the VR converter tool on Mac.
Run the Aimersoft Video Suite on Mac. After that, click the VR Converter button on the home window to launch the VR Converter tool.

Step 2 Upload a video to convert.

On the pop-up, click the Document icon beside the Choose File text field to launch Finder. Now search your local folders and files to choose and upload a video file.

Step 3 Choose the VR mode and device to convert.

After adding a video file, navigate to the VR Mode section and select the video display degree. In the meantime, choose a device-optimized output on the Convert to section. Here, you can convert the video to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or Gear VR. Then wrap up the conversion session by clicking Convert.
