How to convert CD to audio files

Aimersoft Video Suite is an excellent CD converter that allows you to convert CDs to all standard digital music formats with lossless quality. Below is a guide to help you do that without breaking a sweat.

Part 1. How to convert CD to audio files on Windows

Step 1 Open the CD converter tool.

Install and run Aimersoft Video Suite on Windows PC and press the CD Converter tab on the main interface. The CD Converter tool will launch immediately.

Step 2 Insert a CD and choose audio files.

You’ll see a pop-up asking you to “Please insert a CD.”

After inserting a music CD, all your music files will be listed on the interface.

Step 3 Select the output audio format.

Navigate to the bottom of the window and choose MP3, M4A, and WAV on the Output Format section. Next to the target formats, click the Settings button to adjust the Channel, Sample Rate, and Bitrate.

Step 4 Rip the CD.

Last but not least, navigate down to the File Location field and set a folder path for your ripped CD files. Then, tap Rip CD to convert CD files to digital audio formats.

As expected, you’ll see a “Convert successfully” pop-up if the process is successful. Click Open Folder to see the converted audio or Got it to wrap up the session.

Part 2. How to convert CD to audio files on Mac

Step 1 Launch the CD converter tool on Mac.
Download, install and launch Aimersoft Video Suite on your Mac computer. Then, proceed to click the CD Converter tab on the main interface to launch the CD Converter tool immediately.

Step 2 Insert a CD and select the audio files.

Next, you’ll see a pop-up window asking you to insert a CD on your computer drive. After inserting a music CD, the music files on your disc will be listed on the interface with their respective Title, Track, Duration, and Size.

Step 3 Select the output audio format.

Move to the bottom of the window, where you’ll see an option to convert audio to MP3, M4A, and WAV on the Output Format section. Then, click the Settings button to preset the Audio Channel, Sample Rate, and Bitrate.

Step 4 Rip CD.

Go to the File Location field and choose a folder path on Mac for your ripped CD. Click the Rip CD button to convert CD audio to MP3, WAV, or M4A. When the CD is ripped, you can click Show in Finder to see the converted audio and OK to finish the conversion session.
