How to Speed Up Video Without Fuss

1Open your video in the program

First, you need to add your video clip to the media library. There are two ways to load the target video: click "Import"; click the video editor icon located in the upper-left corner and select "Add Files". The video will be presented in the media library after you have loaded it successfully.

2Increase the playback speed of your video

Next, drag the target video from media library to the timeline panel. Click "Edit" button above the timeline panel to access to video editing window. As shown in the following picture, your options are from half-speed to 2x normal.

Set the playback speed you want to apply by dragging the speed slider to the right. The more you move the speed slider to the right, the faster it will play. After making a speed change, preview the video and check whether the speed is suitable for you to watch. If the video doesn't play at a pleasant speed, click "Reset" to set the speed again.

Note: In addition to adding fast motion to videos, you can also slow down a video by dragging the slider to the left.

3Re-publish the video with playback speed adjusted

Click "Create" to generate the video. In the pop-up window, there are four options for you to choose from:

  • Click "Device" to export it to your portable device like iPad, iPod, smartphones, Xbox and etc;
  • Click "Format" and choose your favorite output format to save it to local computer;
  • Click "YouTube" and type in the required information to directly share it on YouTube;
  • Click "DVD" and set the output parameters to burn it to DVD disc.
