That's because the preset format for iMovie has been optimized. You can adjust the format parameters as you like with the Settings option.

When I convert a .Mts file to .Mov the output tend file was about 80mbs but when I output the same file to .Mov format using the editing selection for iMovie the file was 550mbs! Why is that? Brian. Fourbarts@gmail.com
