These are songs that my daughter put on and I do not want them taking up space on my ipad, but I cannot figure out how to remove, thanks.  Also when I follow the directions above re: go to file and click on sync ipad - I'm not given that option.  Only sync ipod and that's not highlighted

I have struggled for 2 days reading all sorts of instructions and nothing worked.  Including this one!  Your advice: 'drag and drop'  worked easily.  Like old macs, drag and drop.   Thank you, thank you.  Why doesn't apple make this obvious.  Ciao, Joe

And you cannot find the movies in other tabs like "Music videos", "Rent", etc.? It seems very strange since the videos can be synced to iPod.

Apparently I'm having a "duh" moment.  I purchased a movie on iTunes.  However, when my ipad syncs this movie isn't showing in my video app.  Other movies I've bought sync'd just fine.  I even sync'd my ipod and the new movie was there.  I have tried dragging it to the ipad folder from the library and it won't take.  Thoughts?  Thanks!!

Do not choose "Sync". Just drag the video files you want to transfer to iPad.

I'm using a different computer than I usually use. I've allowed iTunes to work on this computer, but I only want to add a few video files to the iPad instead of syncing the whole thing. Is that possible? If so, how do I do it?
  • Aimersoft Employee  2012-01-31 01:29
For some videos, even though they can play in iTunes, they may not be well compatible with iPad because of the video frame rate, bit rates, etc. For your occasion, you can use a video converter to convert the videos to iPad highly compatible videdo files and then sync them to your iPad. You can use Aimersoft Video Converter or Video Converter for Mac to accomplish the task and get videos with optimized settings for iPad.

Help!! I'm trying to sync music videos downloaded from iTunes to my iPad 2.  I know that this should be in the correct format, but when i try to play back the music videos on my iPad i get audio and a still picture only, no video.   I can sync to my iPod 4 and watch these music videos with no problems. Any tips?
  • Vernonanley  2011-12-09 12:18
Problem solved. In the latest iPad release the ipod app  has been dropped and replaced with music app. Thanks to everyone who replied.
  • Jack  2011-12-09 09:05
It seems very strange. I recommend you backup your iPad contend and restore factory settings. If it still doesn't work, contact the Apple support team for help.
  • Vernonanley  2011-12-08 09:50
Thee ipod app is not included in my ipad - and running reset does not bring it up (also it is not listed in the installed apps on some apple webpages). The ipod app is not available in th Apple store: do you know of any 3rd party app that can take the place of the 'ipod' app? Thanks.
