Part 1. How to download online video

Open the video you want to download in Safari, Firefox or Chrome and play it. A download button will appear at the top of the video window. You now have three ways to download the video quickly and easily.

a. Download video by clicking the Download button
Click the "Download" button above the video window to add the video to the download list. As you see, you are free to select to download the resolution you want.

b. Download by pasting video URL
Simply copy the video URL in the address bar and then click "Paste URL" button on the interface to download the video you want.

c. Drag and drop to download
When you open a video, just drag the video URL into the program or to its icon and the video will be downloaded automatically.

Note: All downloaded videos will be listed in the video Library. You can play, convert and manage them freely.

Part 2. How to download YouTube playlists or channels

If you want to download personal YouTube playlists or channels, first you need to login your YouTube account. Choose the playlist that contains your favorite videos. Unfold it and there will appear a Download All button on the top of the playlist.

Click it and choose the videos you want to download. Select your desired video quality and click Download button to start download all your chosen videos immediately.

There are two other ways to download videos in bulk:

Copy the playlist/channel URL address and click “Paste URL” button on top of the program’s interface.

You can also download YouTube playlists or channels by directly dragging and dropping the playlist URL (channel URL) to the main window of this downloader.

Part 3. How to play and manage video

To make it easy to watch these downloaded FLV or MP4 videos on Mac, a build-in video player is attached to the app. Just select a video from the Source list and click the "Space" button or double click the video to start the playback. Now full screen playback is well supported.

To manage videos, go to Downloaded tab, right click video and select Import to add the local FLV, MP4 or WebM videos to the Library. You can manage these videos according to date added, time and name. Whenever you need to find a special one among piles of files, type text in the search box.

Part 4. How to convert downloaded or local video

Aimersoft YouTube Downloader for Mac combines the features of video downloading and converting into one. You are allowed to convert the downloaded videos to any video format. What you need to do is just clicking the Convert button.

Choose the target video format and the folder to output the video. To play these videos on portable devices, choose Apple Devices, iPad, iPhone or iPod, Media players, PSP, martphones and so on.
