detailed info about Apple MacBook Air: (from engadget)
1. The micro-DVI out is single-link only, meaning it can drive a 24-inch monitor, not a 30-inch. There's no DisplayLink converter / adapter yet.
2. Remote Disk comes on the install DVD -- ironically, Apple expects you to carry around a DVD to install so you can access someone else's DVD drive. Righty-o.
3. It uses MagSafe, but the new connector is angled 90-degrees to stay out of the way. You can use a regular MacBook / Pro adapter, assuming you don't mind the side being propped up a little More...
The new Zunes are official so let's get to it: a spec-by-spec scrap between Redmond's new Zunes and Cupertino's formidable iPod foe. Unfortunately, Microsoft failed to mention the all important battery performance of their new gear in addition to a few other minor details. Microsoft fans will tell you that's due to an iPhone-like surprise close to the November launch while haters will jump to the conclusion that this is a definite sign of trouble. Still even without that morsel, there's plenty of data to masticate for comparison. More...
Analyst firm iSuppli has taken apart the new iPod Nano and found that it gives Apple its biggest gross margins yet.
The build costs for the new Nano run to $58.85 for the 4GB model priced at $149, and $82.85 for the 8GB version priced at $199. This makes it the most profitable iPod in Apple's history.
"The changes in components have resulted in significant cost reductions in the Nano design, allowing Apple to offer a product that is less expensive to build and that has enhanced features compared to its predecessor" More...

O2 will sell the smartphone, which plays music, connects to Wi-Fi networks and has a touch-sensitive screen and 8G bytes of memory, with contracts priced £35, £45 or £55 per month. For that price, customers will get 200 minutes of talk time More...
The long-awaited launch of Apple's iPhone in the UK will raise the pulses of gadget geeks and fashionistas across Europe who have eagerly awaited the appearance of the handset since it was released in the US over the summer.
The handset will undoubtedly fly off the shelves in the first few weeks that it is available, with Apple set to reveal all tomorrow at a press conference at its London store.More...
The iPod touch, Apple's gimped iPhone that's just for music, sounds fantastic for people who want all of the iPhone's music and video features and none of its calling ones. PC Mag got their hands on one a bit early and found that it's just as good as the iPhone in terms of, well, everything, but has new features like double-clicking the Home button to bring up music controls no matter where you are. All in all, if you have an iPhone, there's not much reason to buy this, but if you don't and really want that touchscreen functionality, then this is for you. More>>
Yeah, you're not reading this so you can hear me give the iPod another pat on the back. You know that the new model has Cover Flow, video capabilities and a bigger screen, making it the most functional nano ever made. I want to talk about the design. And man, were we wrong when we called it a Fatty and made fun of its looks. It fits in the palm perfectly, although it seems to me that this layout comes at a cost. You'll be shocked at how small full 16:9 video is on this thing. More...
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Apple Inc. sold its millionth iPhone over the weekend, days after it slashed the price by a third to spur sales.
It took just 74 days for the combination cell phone-iPod to hit the 1 million mark, which Apple had said it would achieve by the end of September. By comparison, it took two years for the company to sell 1 million iPods, Apple CEO Steve Jobs noted in a statement. More...
Apple's iPhone price cut this week overshadowed some of the company's most interesting news for the iPod lineup in years. And although the iPhone still hasn't topped 1 million sold, more than 110 million iPods have been sold since 2001. Are these new features cool enough to inspire you to get yet another iPod?
The newest lineup for the fall is definitely worth a look if you need to refresh. I only got cursory looks at the new models this week, but the clear highlight was the iPod touch that has the same screen featured on the iPhone. I haven't been able to stress test these new models, but as far as I can see, you can't go wrong with any one of them More...
ThinkSecret is tooting its own horn with a supposed confirmation they've obtained of an iPhone-sized (3.5-inch), hard drive-based, touchscreen iPod -- ThinkSecret started talking up a touchscreen iPod 20 months ago, and apparently all that blind rumoring is finally paying off. This contradicts reports of there being flash memory in the device, and is the first time we've heard anyone sound so confident about the 3.5-inch screen size More...
Now that the euphoria surrounding the launch of Apple Computer's iPhone has died down, the gizmo's once again made it to the headlines... and how?
SPI Labs' security researchers have cautioned iPhone users not to use the 'Web Dialer' feature that allow them dial telephone numbers over the Web through iPhone's Safari browser. More...
Steve Jobs’ keynote at the WWDC has come and gone, with a few Leopard spots uncovered and Safari for Windows released – but will the iPhone snatch victory – or defeat – from the jaws of the marketplace?
As the launch of the iPhone draws ever closer, hard news from Apple and Steve Jobs himself has been hard to come by, released only in dribs and drabs at shareholder meetings, the D5 conference and now Apple’s own WWDC, mixed in with a rich speculative brew from the best and worst minds of the Internet.

Yes, the countdown to Apple’s iPhone is on, this is, if you are a 30-something educated man with cash to spend.
