Sony revealed yesterday what content buyers can expect to be available this Thursday with the launch of the PSP Go, the digital-distribution-only latest revision of the PSP.
Planned for the Go's launch are 16,000 pieces of downloadable content; 13,300 television episodes, 2,300 movies, and 225 games. Though previous models of the PSP could play Playstation Network video content transferred to the system from a Playstation 3, the Go will be able to download that content on its own.
As far as games, the 225 available on launch day will include PSOne Classics (like the videos, these were playable on older PSP models if you transferred them from a PS3), Playstation Network originals such as Echochrome, and several of the PSP's previously-released UMD games such as God of War: Chains of Olympus, Daxter, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny.
Also available on launch day will be new releases like MotorStorm Arctic Edge, Beaterator, and the long-awaited Gran Turismo.
