More about iTunes DRM

The so-called iTunes DRM is FairPlay, a digital rights management (DRM) system created by Apple. Most FairPlay-protected files are purchased from iTunes Store (M4V, M4B and M4P) and can only be played on Apple products with authorization. In March, 2009, iTunes music store has become DRM-free. However, the movies, TV shows and books bought from iTunes Store are still FairPlay-protected ones. Because of the playback and share inconveniences caused by iTunes DRM, numerous people have attempted to remove the DRM encryption.

This program is crap, your advertising says "trust you" and "money back guarentee" Ill be forwarding that to my credit card company when i dispute this purchase.
I recently bought, downloaded and installed DRM Converter... I set if off to converting my 2700 locked songs, which it slowly but happily appeared to be doing. Imagine my sadness a day or so later when I checked one of the converted MP3 files and tried to play it only to find that there is no sound. In checking on the web site I found some "What to do if this happens" instructions but nothing suggested there solved the problem. At this point I have submitted a problem ticket with a zipped copy of the log file. I should point out that I tried the converter on 3 different pcs with the same results. I hope there is a solution to this problem.
Hi , I have a full version of DRM Media Converter. When I try to convert after adding a movie from I tunes the message 'QuickTime is not installed or is of lower version' shows up under conversion column.I do have iTunes as well as QuickTime pro installed.
I have the iTunes settings to play in a separate window but when I try to convert it opens iTunes and the play window for a few seconds and then iTunes quite. The conversion process just stays at "please wait" without ever doing anything.
Choosing the same format as the original, I would think, would be the default choice in most cases. But that doesn\'t mean it\'s not going to re-encode the video along the way. Just stripping the DRM information should take only slightly longer than a basic file copy, so perhaps a minute or two at most for most movies. If it\'s taking significantly longer than that, then it\'s almost certainly re-encoding.
Hi, Simiusmagnus. This program will only convert files with valid authorization. If you are encountering the \"authorization error\" problem, please make sure that your files play well in iTunes or Windows Media Player. If not, you need to update the license.
Hi, I\'m trying to use the \"evaluate\" function to make sure it does what I want it to, but I keep getting authorization errors saying the music isn\'t authorized on this computer. Which it isn\'t, which is the whole reason I want to use your program. I have a backup disc from my old itunes account. I no longer remember my password or have access to the email address I used back then, I just want access to the music I downloaded. Will this program take care of that, or should I look elsewhere?
