How to Convert MSWMM to DVD

The MSWMM file type is associated with Window Movie Maker. It's not really a video format but a Windows (Including Windows 8) Movie Maker Project file. Windows Movie Maker allows you to edit videos and share home videos. When your movies are completed, you can save the file as a project which is MSWMM file. Part 1. How to Play MSWMM File on PC

The MSWMM file can be viewed in Windows Movie Maker. What if you want to play MSWMM file in Window Media Player or any other players? You need to convert MSWMM to WMV. Here is a simple way to do it without installing a extra software on your computer.

As MSWMM file is not the actual movie, you can open *.MSWMM file in Windows (Including Windows 8) Movie Maker (click "File > Open Project"), use the File > Save Movie menu option and you should end up with a .WMV file. Or go to the "Tasks" bar, click "Finish Movie" and then click "Save to my computer".

Now you've just converted MSWMM file to WMV and you can view them on normal movie players.

1 Convert MSWMM to WMV

2 Download and install DVD Creator

After downloading and installing the program, insert a blank, recordable DVD disc into your computer's DVD burner drive. Now let's take the Windows version as an example.

3 Load MSWMM (WMV) movies

Click the option that reads "Import" to load the MSWMM (WMV) to this MSWMM to DVD converter.

4 Convert MSWMM to DVD

Click the Burn tab, there will be a window asking you to select aspect ratio, TV standard, etc. And select the output options as DVD disc. Once everything is ready, please tap "Start" button to convert MSWMM file to DVD.
