How to Remove DVD CSS Protection in Windows/Mac

CSS (Content Scramble System) is a DRM (Digital Rights Management) scheme used on commercial DVD-video discs to prevent the discs from being illegally copied, shared, etc. Perhaps you have got some commercial CSS-protected DVD movies from local stores, online stores, etc. and want to remove CSS protection from them legally so that you can play and share the DVD movies conveniently? How to easily unlock CSS-protected DVDs

1Load DVD movies

Install and launch Aimersoft DVD Copy. Then insert the DVD disc into your computer's DVD drive and click the "Source" drop-down list to browse your computer and locate your DVD files..

2Select DVD target and copy mode

Click the "Target" drop-down list to select a target to output the selected DVD movie: copy DVD to a blank DVD disc, to a DVD folder or an ISO file. Then click "Copy Mode" to choose from "Full Movie", "Main Movie (with menu)", "Main Movie (without menu) and "Custom Mode" to copy the part you want.

3 Start removing DVD CSS encryption and copying

After all necessary settings, click "Start" on the lower right to start copying your DVD movies bypassing DVD CSS protection.

Thanks... it was time to upgrade anyway, so I'm on 10.6.8 now, but without a working optical drive, I had to use someone else's computer that's still at 10.5.8. Good to know you've got it covered though.
