The program will join AVI videos according to the left-to-right sequence in the video track. If you'd like to rearrange the playback sequence of the files, you can left click on each clip and drag it to any place you like before releasing the mouse.

3Insert transition effects (Optional)

Before you complete the process of assembling AVI files, you could use Aimersoft Video Editor to make some changes. This program provides users with more than 50 transition effects. Hit "Transition" button above the timeline panel to access to the transition panel. Move the mouse pointer over each clip to see how the effect animated. To apply any transition, you can click and hold on the effect that you want to use, then directly drag it to the scene between two clips.

Insert transitions

Note: The duration of showing the transition depends on how much you shorten or lengthen the effect in the video track.

4Export the integrated file

After personalizing your video, now you can click "Create" to pick a proper way of output. There are four options available:

  • Device: export your video to portable device to watch anywhere you like;
  • Format: save the video to local computer in its original format or any other formats;
  • YouTube: publish the video to YouTube directly from the application;
  • DVD: burn the file to a DVD disc to watch on TV.

Once everything is okay, you would click "Create" again to combine multiple files into a single one.

Family vacation videos are a pain in the you know what to organize. In the old days and I'm talking about just 20 years ago, you'd barely have 3 tapes of footage after a single vacation, but now with the digital technology, we record every moment of the vacation, so we end up with 100s of footage at the end of the vacation. That's why I came up with the idea to merge avi files and turn those 100s of footage into a few big files. Merge them in order and they look great. I was able to organize all my video files with this software.
