How to convert Sony HandyCam video to DVD

    Is the use of Firewire for the transfer critical? Or can a USB cable be used? My Sony HDR-PJ650V camcorder has a "Multi/MicroUSB" port on the right side, and a micro HDMI connector in the recess behind the viewing screen. Can these be used? I don't see a specific reference to a firewire outlet on the camcorder or in the manual.

    The cable that came with our Sony Handycam when we originally purchased it has been misplaced/lost. I have not been able to locate the correct cable type compatible with Sony Handycam at any of the major electronics stores. What specific cable do I need to purchase to connect my HandyCam to the computer in order to transfer videos from originally recorded microcassettes to create the DVD's?? Any info would be very helpful.
